Batou model (I could use your expertise :P)

Hey all I'm a long time GITS:SAC fan, and I'm trying to land a job in the games industry so I thought I'd combine the two and create my own rendition of loveable old Batou.

I'm working on his gun still, and I'm planning on giving him some clothing too at some point

I really hope I've captured his character, as he's one of my favourite characters of all time

That's really cool.

In your model he looks a little older than in the show (but if I tried, he'd look like a lump of plasticine)

Looks excellent, very nice model and textures!

My reservation is the face looks a little too 'old' and craggy. I know Batau has pretty rugged looks, but don't forget hid body is artificial, so it doesn't age. I'd probably smooth it out a bit, not totally, but just so it's more 'rugged good looks' than a bit of old age? Might just be me, I just expect his face to look a little younger.

Your overall style fits the subject perfectly otherwise and the overall effect is excellent.
