In general I like very different kind off music, just don’t have time to listen to all kind, off the different variants. :/
Anyway I can remember a teacher (female!) that said that she hadn’t heard any band with serious text since TV2! (Danish band), even though she only could speak Danish, English, French, German Rolling Eyes
After that day I wowed to myself that I would never take any female serious, ever again, been around 3 years.

*smashing pumpkins--mellon collie...need i say any more? i love adore also. corgan's solo album is pretty good, but i can't wait until the SP's release their new project.
*u2--joshua tree, achtung...where would the world be without the songs in those two albums? and i think they deserved getting best album for How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb. So sorry Kanye...
kevin max (his album the impostor is awesome. i can't recommend it enough. one of the best unknown vocal and experimental groups out there.

*ryan adams (not bryan, thank you very much!) alt. country. rock. get Rock N' Roll...get Cold Roses...you will thank me. but if you really hate country twang, forget the latter--it took me getting used to, but he is one of the best lyricists since Morrissey....

I listen to the track that loads on this webcomic, as well as the third Syndicate Wars track. I think they go well together, and I'm not yet tired of hearing two tracks repeat themselves.

VAST--Video Audio Sensory Theater...love them, love them!!!! I am so shocked that these guys are unknown because their music is really sublime. Check them out at www.realvast.com. They have a large underground following, but have recently gone solely to download purchases of their work.

Right now all I listen to is Metallica and Johnny Cash.

I like Johnny because if you ever actually listen to him,he's probably more violent than Fiddy cent. (Every song he seems to off at least 1 person for absolutely no reason whatsoever).
I used to be sane,I'm better now.

I just bought a cd by a group led by Killah Priest called Black Market Militia. The album is a pleasant surprise. I'm also giving the occasional listen to Madlib's most recent effort, "The Beat Konducta vol. 1-2"
Oh well.

Funny, I always thought the point of those songs was to show regret, and give hope of redemtion to those who had done horrible things. The charecters never seem proud of thier actions, more sad, which is in keeping with Cashes life. Rather than being a violent man, he dedicated most of his life to prison reform, American Indian Rights, and Childrens causes. He was insturmental in the 60's folk scene, a good friend of Bob Dylan, Bono, among others. See Man in Black, Ballad of Ira Hayes , Son of a Patriot and I hung my Head.

Right now, Saint Saens' Danse Macabre.
Most of the time, though, I listen to metal rock - Disturbed, E Nomine, etc. as well as anime soundtracks. Yoko Kanno, especially can make music worth listening.
