Oh very cool! That looks like phpBB2 - is there a phpBB3 version?
I help out on another BBS (very low traffic) that is phpBB3 and they have one forum that is anime themed and asked for a "cool background"
Here is what I came up with.

why are we not using one of these cool versions? I always thought this forum was nearly visual depressing.
I would be so happy to reformat it to any of the other screen shots shown. I particularly like the very first one and the last ones!!
Can we still do this?? ?

The mod that I came up with is very easy to apply.
I have a somewhat garish graphic behind the text. That darker Motoko image is much easier on the eyes when reading text.
If there is an interest I can dig up the code and finish it.
There is no control panel for it, it's hard coded to show the anime image behind only that one forum.
