Get ready for it!

Post by marto_motoko »

Soon, I'll be getting the Gynoid Box. For those who don't know what that is, it is the most expensive box set of the special edition box series that were released in Japan when Innocence first came out.

Here's what it looks like:

I'm also going to be getting the Methods Box, which I'm also fairly excited about. It's a giant "How it was made" guide with a ton of cool stuff to it. Here's how that looks.

^^ Eek, I'm so giddy!

Wow, that's like totally overboard! Nice though, I expect an Anime masterpiece inside the year with all those studies of the making. Okay - I'm kidding...

*Sigh* It'll be another two weeks or more before I can order it though... that's kind of the shit part of all of this.

Lol, I've seen the doll on YJ, but it was an old release that did not come with all the other nice stuff you're getting. Go Marto! You ever get any of the old Shirow art-based Motoko statues? Like "sea of wires"?

Congratulations on your shiny boxes ^_^.

A local comic shop had the falling one in their store forever, gathering dust on the top shelf as it awaited a buyer...

The only ones I have that are based on the manga are of the Maid that protected the fat politician, and of Motoko in the brown military suit with the skirt. I should have gotten the nurse while it was at the convention I went to, but I didn't have enough money at the time. That was two years ago, before I realized I actually spend money at conventions....

Sadly it doesn't, but it is completely articulated, and is ever in a lacquered, shiny polish!

Yesterday night I placed the order finally.

Apparently the doll stands 40+ centimeters. :D That's big!
