I remember discussing this before. If DVD sales go well in the US, I wouldn't be surprised to see a 3rd gig.

The more the better, as long as they keep getting better with each gig (or season).

Kenji Kamiyama last year spoked at a conference or an awards ceremony and said that his team are working on a sequel to SAC 2nd Gig, but they don't know what form it will take, like a 13 episode season, a 26 episode season, a 4 episode season.

I haven't heard anything new about the 3rd season after that piece of news.

Ahh, so there is a 3rd gig planned. We just don't know what form it will take.

That is very old news and still no progress at all. I.G. said they want a new movie las summer but Oshii declined the offer. If there would be a new series, it surely depends on how much money they make from dvds.
Some things are too important to be taken seriously.

What about that Laughing Man DVD? You know, the one that sums the Laughing Man story in a single movie. I remember discussing it, but forget the realse date.

Any progress report?

They might not release the Laughing Man OAV for US or UK soon. I guess they think it wouldn't sell much. It didn't get the expected attention even in Japan but let's not loose hope. Maybe they can release it in summer season?
