Good news for all european based, german speaking people: Gits - SAC is on TV!! To be exact: on MTV

Episodes 1-5 (Gig#1) was already on air. Don't know how many episodes they will broadcast. I contacted MTV to clarify this.

The episodes are translated - based on my first impression it is well done.

MTV? Huh??! That's... err... trendy times, I guess. Well, take it however it comes ('cause Cartoon Network isn't exactly any better). Yay for Deutschland!

Yeah, especially considering that this is the debut for SAC in german TV. This should be prime time, not sunday midnight. It's already hard enough here to get your hands on the DVDs and comics. And "stashing away" one of the best SF-series isn't the best way to introduce GitS to a broader audience. I think they underestimate the audience again because the storyline is a bit complicated.

Heck, I already e-mailed a lot of random people who mentioned SAC in their blogs. It would be a shame if other fans would miss GitS just because it isn't advertised enough (I myself noticed it by sheer chance - although, I've already seen both Gigs on imported DVDs).
