...but not in the role of Motoko. The English dub cast was released, citing McGlynn as the voice of Kurutsu (Kurtz). Motoko will be voiced by relative newcomer Elizabeth Maxwell, who has done some voicework on Fairy Tail and Attack on Titan.

Disappointingly, Richard Epcar will not voice Batou, Crispin Freeman will not voice Togusa, and William Knight will not voice Aramaki, although Aramaki will be voiced by John Swasey...a well accomplished voice actor.

That is going to be confusing to see Motoko on one side of the screen and hearing her voice come from a different character.

I wonder what the thinking behind that decision was.

Awww dude that sucks! I was wondering who would do the dub, not to happy about this. I've seen GITS in both english and japanese and it's the one anime I prefer to watch the english dub. Because of Epcar and McGlynns awesome voice acting.
