We will all watch the original GITS movie... KUDOS to those who still have the VHS and the VHS player.

I still have a VHS fansub made by the one guy in my old film club who understood japanese
it doesn't really work anymore though, pictures very fuzzy, there's a strange high-pitched whine throughout and it gets the audio from Arcadia of My Youth towards the end(I think that's what it was recorded over)..
Think I'll celebrate with the DVD instead

I think my VHS copy is from the LaserDisc version--needless to say, it's quite old
But we do have two DVD versions--one for the US (NTSC) and one for England (PAL).

I watched it twice last month.
GitS 2.0 and Innocence deserves an IMAX showing I think....
