...I must've missed something from SAC. Spoilz: Aoi didn't fuse with Motoko, he simply gave her his memory, and while he did have cyberbrain sclerosis, he didn't die. Besides, Aoi's hacking skills were super-class A. Motoko's didn't quite hit that mark.

Firstly my sig should say it all

Laughing Man is nothing without his knowledge and skills, also let us first discuss about if we're talking about The Laughing Man or Aoi labelled as The Laughing Man, because we need a clear distinction of whom we're talking about, I assume it's Aoi here since we're looking at post Serano's threat made by some corporate terrorist group in the name of Laughing Man.

The genius of Laughing Man is his knowledge, knowledge that he has gained through extensive reading, that is what fascinates me, when Major asks him if he wished to change the world from the library, he says, He did think so, I think he is definitely right, but considering the negativity and escapist attitude that people have and the way people turn a blind eye to things, his mission was perhaps the hardest, exposing the truth to the world. The character is a genius and so is the characterization.

He says he is the epitome of cyberization, I do not remember he saying he has sclerosis, he just says he was scared of it.
