Uh, ok.

There are some other ones though. Plus a new Kusanagi patch.

Speaking of the clothing, back to home-made cosplayish ones (even though thankfully GitS has believable clothes), I've actually managed to make a very decent appearance to what motoko wears in the first movie.

The jacket, the black tangtop (even though since I'm male, it had to look nice on a guy! T_T Thank you motoko for your tomboyish taste!!), and the pants actually are very easy to copy!

Anyone else out there with any success on recreating the GitS clothes?

Decadry make clothing transfre sheets for both light and dark cloths.
Ive been playing with the light i thought i point this out to members starving for gitssac fashion.

Thank you! That's actually pretty neat! :)

And it's not that they can't make their own, it's just that it's not very simplistic unless you know how, and have a little experience. Also depends on whether or not you're looking at clothing commercializing it, or clothing that is an imitation from things worn on the show.

I have this patch which I got at a con last year:

It's absolutely adorable (and crazy affordable!) and I sewed it onto a blue zip-up sweater, and it looks like it was always there ^_^

marto_motoko:
I really enjoy sewing and cosplay, so I'm more on the clothing as imitation side of that ^_^ Although her first gig bustier was murder to make. However I definitely plan on doing more of her clothes, including military skirt suit, combat suit, and NewMotoko's black dress from the films. Actually, I like almost everything she wears (except the lack of trousers in first gig!) Some of her clothes are normal enough that one can just thrift instead of sew from scratch (like my pleather jacket!)
Pictures are here if anyone wants:

Wow, nice job on the pleather jacket! I like the way it turned out! See, I personaly would love to make for one of my girlfriends the military skirt suit, or the kid outfit from the end of the first movie! :)

I love NewMotoko's dress from the end of the movie! I was very happy to see it reappear in the second one. Very hard to find reference pics of though.

I'm an artist, so I guess I have the advantage of being able to just draw it up myself for different angle refference and all that. :)
Even more lucky for me, I'm going for Illustration major, along with a side hobby of Character design, and fashion design.

Well it's more a problem of what angles they show as to what design details are discernable. Of course something like the dress is definitely obscure enough that one could just make up any missing details oneself to ones own taste ^_^
And btw, snap! I'm also at art school, in my last year of my BFA. I'm also probably going to specialize in illustration when I get around to doing my masters. And although I chose visual art over fashion for school and career, I love fashion design as well (I occasionally do some costume and clothing commissions for people when I have time, and make as many of my own clothes as I can. It's relaxing, a nice break from the more cerebral art (although I'm sure fashion design could get cerebral too if it was one's area of study)).

I was going to go into fashion, however, with me the whole needles, scizzors, and blood, didn't quite clash... :? Caused me to fall over and wake up surrounded by scary people staring at me like owls....wasn't pleasant..
