I agree with you Simon. It seems that the conversation has gone through a downgrade since these came back up. I noticed the other day that the philosophy section seems smaller and there are more. What's your favourite.... Aside from that I agree that the forums just feel different.

Yes the whole Macross series is a standard so far as mechs are conserned. Plus the macross plots are very intersting.

I thought the first was good, but I didn't like the second. It seemed that they were trying to hard with the special effects and not as much with the plot.

I agree. That's what really annoyed me watching the movie. I thought the idea of the robots and being treated like second class citizens was interesting, but the art stile turned me off. Also to add to the list of recommended anime I would add the new Appleseed and most of the Gundam series, excludi...

You could say its the ciclical aspect of life. The section gets destroyed so it can be reborn to die again and so on.

I don't see how being proud of being a dork is a bad thing. Its just taking a negative steryotype and making it positive. All people need a subculture.

In America, at least in my experience, its treated like much of the other "nerd things". They make fun of it and call me gay or some other intelligent quip. Its not so much seedy as nerdy.

Would any of the female peers out there like to try to explain.
