I did wonder when it said about making it a tv series whether they would split each border into two and create separate episodes. Lucky I hadn't brought the ARISE blue rays yet given there will likely be a 10 episode series to buy at some point.

I hadn't even heard of Alpha until this thread prompted me to have a look at what was out for Appleseed. Have to admit that looked much more my thing, seeing the action was less Matrix but the reviews don't look all that great. I guess the Appleseed series is an alternative path that all too easily ...

I think the character design in the poster looks a little more SAC too, I wonder whether they are bridging the gap between her early years with Arise leading up to this movie?

Oshii's work was clearly influential in SAC I didn't even think of it that way, SAC definitely does feel like an extended version of the Oshii world. I guess that's why it works so well. An easy way to let people know about the site would be a face book page, doesn't have to be anything fancy, just info about the site.
