Considering the condition of the original source material and the flawed transfer used for the original DVD release, they did a pretty good job cleaning up the video for 2.0

I concur, this is good news. I would rather they take their time and make a worthy sequel rather than quickly put something together to make a few $$

I think the blu-ray came out yesterday, on the thirteenth. Just a quick update. I just finished watching the blu-ray and its nothing short of spectacular. There are two different english dubs; one from the UK studios and one from bandai (the same the SAC tv series). The original Japanese Audio and ...

Re: Innocence on Blu-Ray

Does anyone own it? I was thinking of buying it, but I'm not sure if they'll be making a US release for it. I know that there's english subs for it, and PS3 is region-free on all games and blu-rays, so I think it might be cool. It's seventy bucks but oh well. That's pretty average for imported Blu-...

Blu-Ray does have region encoding but its different compared to regular DVDs. Lucky for us, Japan and the USA are in the same region :D

With the ending I suppose a movie is possible. Or he could do what he did with Cowboy bebop and make the movie take place in the middle of the series.

It looks freakin amazing. They needed to do this since the original GITS movie looks and sounds pretty bad on DVD and Blu-Ray (mostly due to the physical degradation of the source material). I CANT WAIT until this is released on blu-ray

Honestly, this is one of the only animes that I prefer to watch dubbed rather than subbed. The voice acting is on par both in english and japanese

I wonder why they didn't make anymore episodes. It seems to be very popular :? But the first episode and then the one with the gay nordic guy are my favorites :D The reason they didnt make anymore episodes is because Shinchiro Watanabe isnt big on never ending 150-300 episode animes. Similar to Cow...
