In the world of GitS I believe that a cyberbrain is primarily a brain that's been hooked up by connecting the brain cells or the synapses to nanomachines which then connects to external memory devices and interfaces and cybernetic bodies. I suppose that those nanomachines also need some write capabi...

Personally I would've taken the risk with the tachikomas, because they really didn't seem to exhibit any signs of malevolence or strict adherence to instructions that would make them hurt people for no reason. Well, except for that one time when a tachikoma threw a dog away and didn't quite seem to ...

I didn't get any quizzes on my DVDs (that I noticed anyway), though I did get episode summaries. And on the last DVD they had exchanged the character profiles for info about cyberbrain sclerosis, micro-machines and the Murai vaccine (or something like that, one theme for each episode, unlike the cha...

I've watched Anime-Kraze's fansub of 1st GIG Episode 14: Y€$ and it started by showing four screens with text describing the background of the Y€$ currency (feel free to tell me the ASCII code for yen, I only have € and $ on my keyboard ). I figured that nifty ext...

I think there were some things needed to be done for each option to be availible, and I also remember there being four options (but let's not rely on that memory). In any case, I remember paving the road to all options (more gameplay for me), and then trying them out one by one, just to satisfy my c...

In the first movie we see an American programmer that has his prosthetic hands modified in such a manner that allows him to operate a keyboard in a much more efficient manner. Instead of using a mere ten digits, he is using at least twice as many. The human mind is only capable of processing inform...

It seems simply now to be just a take on a rather mundane social aspect. But with a new, cool name! Remember, GitS SAC is anime after all. Is al-Qaida a stand alone complex? It seems as if they're getting credit for just about any deed, while the most recent thing I read was that they were n...

I'm too cheap to buy single issues, so I prefer to wait until they're collected and sold for less. But perhaps the single issues are in a larger format? I was a bit disappointed when the MMI paperback turned out to be much smaller than the original manga.

I listen to the track that loads on this webcomic, as well as the third Syndicate Wars track. I think they go well together, and I'm not yet tired of hearing two tracks repeat themselves.

Re: On and off the Subject

I agree with most of what you wrote, and don't disagree with the stuff I don't know about. Even though my buddy had drastic head trauma, I still go to the bar with a person who is Matt, he is a sum of all of his experiences and not what I rember him to be, but he is what he is. Yup, he's still the M...

I memorized a few Hiragana syllables on this page (seems to be down right now, but it was always a bit sluggish). I didn't continue though, since there's just so much else to do, such as watching anime and reading webcomics and reading books and play computer games... yeah, I figured that I don't ha...

A movie isn't as good as a whole series, but at least it'll be of higher visual quality. And it's really nice of them to create a second puppetmaster with a different name in the original language. It'll give us something to talk about. ;)

I'm just going to have to thank you again. I never paid attention to the time/date stamps, so I assumed that the epilogue happened after the last chapter, and that it was a second meeting or a very long one. I also never read the Kojiki, though I think we asked earlier if someone had and could expla...

From another thread, where Lightice suggested that you keep to one or two points per post: All I can say in my defense is that when I post, I'm responding to one or two points someone else has made, and that I'm looking for clarification, context, and ways the principles could be applied to a speci...
