I'm not a die hard fan, but I consider it watchable. Not as good as the manga though, and definitely not up to GitS anime standard. More like an anime version for those who simply must see landmates in motion.

I also liked the first season, but Marto did this poll to only wanted to see what Motoko style do the fans like the best, SAC 1st Gig or SAC 2nd Gig. You know what? I completely glossed over the title of the poll and just went straight from the title of the thread to the message of the thread. And ...

I guess the 'valiant hitman' is a myth similar to the one about the 'happy hooker'. Maybe some people feel that a hitman who only kills other criminals is decent enough to be kind of a hero? At least such a hitman would be badass, and badass is always badass, isn't it? ;)

I prefer the first season. I liked the Laughing Man case more than the refugee scenario, and while I enjoy darkness as much as the next person, I liked the colouring more in the first season. The episodes alse felt more varied in theme, which is a plus. Motokos outfit is annoying, but for me that's ...

I don't fear death either, but I do fear pain and damage, and both usually precede involuntary death. So it's the actual dying that I don't want to experience. When I'm unprepared for something I usually freeze, or at least I did that once, when I mishandled a piece of machinery and it started to sh...

Hey, I'm not complaining (about your scenario). I just can't resist ragging on D&D whenever I see its tentacles reach into places where they haven't been before. Oh, that sounded dirty.

I figured as much. Reminded me somewhat of the Dirty Pair Flash episode where Yuri connects to a dreamoholic scientist to try to get him out of his own fantasies.

That's an evil, evil virus, forcing them to play D&D like that!

Front Beat

Want to see hardboiled cops handle violent human-looking robots? Then you might want to check out this webcomic. Feels kind of old-school. Like Total Recall 2070, but with more action and no robot sidekick (as far as I know) or adoring wife (the Chief Medical Examiner is a former model though).

I always assumed that this thread was created by mistake and the first post was really supposed to be a reply in this thread, which was locked due to Verspielten bringing it off topic. But I didn't want to be too obvious, because where would the fun in that be? See, now all the fun has been taken ou...

My opinion is that it was in her nature to have scientific doubts about her own nature. I never saw it as a kind of depression, although it was probably a bit of a downer to not be able to seriously discuss those doubts with Batou or the others. I assume that it's the Motoko in the first movie you'r...

It could also be that Shirow feels that he can't control other people, so rather than trying to do so he just lets them do whatever they want (perhaps within reason). I'm pretty sure that's what I'd do if I ever created something, at least as long as I get paid when other people make money from my w...

"Pimp my ride" becomes "Pimp my bod". I think that that being unique is percieved as being important enough that most people won't strive to look completely the same as anyone else, but they may very well copy certain parts that they like. Even if everyone played the same game, t...

No worries, I can imagine what red contact lenses look like. ;)

As for attaching images, I think that you may have to put them up on a webspace and link to them. Though I have seen image links which have looked kind of like attachments on other forums, so maybe it's possible.

I use Opera, so all I got to see was a black screen with the top menu. :(
