Plot-twist? nah.

Use-less? Not entirely. I think it's one of those quirky interludes that adds a smidgen of depth into their lives.
According to this she is approx 8" tall. :D
lol.

I guess, it all depends on her 'shell' at the time. There could be no definitive answer. Unless you speak of a certain time period.

True. But you might be underestimating the trauma that Motoko might go through, (having lost an arm, even if it is prosthetic), inwhich something like that would transfer over (unconsciously) to her avatar.

Lot of what if on my part, but I see your point.

Saito on top again. A twist an an old koan: IS it a story if there's no one there to derive meaning from it? But in essence, It's the synergy of all those involved that elevate the idea from one man's glimmer of a whim, to a veritable fortress of greatness to be appreciated by all whom look upon it.

I think it is completely virtual. As Motoko's watch is her Constant to her ghost. So is the image AND function of a library to Aoi. (whatever he may be now).

It's gonna suck for Live-action. But luckly it's been determined to be complete CGI.

Good point. His love life seems to be quite mysterious indeed. Perhaps as handsome as he looks now, he may have been quite the lady-killer in his hey-day. Infact, I would imagine he was self-distructive in his relationships, till the war changed him. After the war, he was able to make more solid rel...

Actually Watchmen turned out great. But that's because it was done by NON-hollywood group:

Studio:
Legendary Pictures
DC Comics

although i'll give you, big Hollywood did distribute it.
