Parallels with the Real World?
Is the role played by micromachine therapy in the Stand Alone Complex story similar to the role of the mRNA vaccine in our recent past? The scandal exposed by Aoi that the advancement of the novel micromachine therapy and the suppression of the Murai vaccine led to many unnecessary deaths reminds me...

Actually, I'm now on Facebook as well. I had to join because it was the only way some of my uni lecturers stayed in touch. (And now I'm building an entire network of friends ...) Beware! Some of us are quite frightening IRL! And some of it shows on FB. Update. Several years ago now.... I was...

Re: The Ghost in the Shell: The Human Algorithm
Not yet. Looking forward to it tho. I got busy (for reasons that elude me just now) and will have to wait for them to slow down before I can even start.

Re: webcomic
Adding some new comics. I'll put them in the main list, but also here so that you can see the new ones right away. SlackWyrm Keep A lazy dragon Advanced Player of the Tutorial Tower Game nerd becomes aware of a secret world and is recruited by Gaia to defend the world. (The Gamer is a better version...

One other film that comes to mind for me is Johassen's own Lucy from a couple of years ago ... and then actually undermining the typical superhero wish fulfilment fantasy by having her newfound abilities shown negatively in costing much of her humanity that reminds me of a cyberpunk genre game I pl...

Happy New Year 2020 too
So we all know what a fight 2020 was.
Last year we were informed that 2020 won.
I just hope this year is not 2020 too.
(apologies is this is a repeat of a dad joke)

Re: Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0 UPDATED
Addendum. If you are committed to watching them, there is apparently a "right order", something akin to Machete order for Star Wars. Here is the link to the full explanation . Order 1 Neon Genesis Evangelion episodes 1-26 (inc. episodes 21-24 director’s cuts) (1995-1996) End of Evangelion ...

Re: Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0 UPDATED
OK, I'm watching 3+1 now. I mean right now. I have it paused because Joy to the World just kicked in and I had to look it up. I'm going to assume they are singing the correct lyrics in Japanese and not some other words to the same tune. I watched the first Evangelion. It was interesting, and then th...

Re: The Ghost in the Machine
There are two things from my experience that I think are relevant here. Back in my college days some of us from the Computer Science and Engineering classes create a Thursday night group that we called Mad Hackers Night. this was before the media stole the word hacker and redefined it as thief. One ...
