Her outfit in Stand Alone Complex actually resembles MMI very much. People just whine too much about the series. A little fan service and a little skin never hurt the franchise lol. It's just a style, which was even toned down a lot (considering Shirow's thing for quasi-bondage outfits). I mean, no ...

Risking almost guaranteed permanent deafness and scarring to the eyballs, I bring you the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qNi_VC4nJno It's not that bad actually. I suppose you've got to do something when the great and good of the public eye has a judged you (incorrectly, as ever) to be overwe...

Hmmm. I can almost imagine them casting some mainstream Hollywood actress as the Major, turning section 9 into an American faction (secret service-ish), changing the names of its members, Batou and Motoko in a sex scene just for the sake of it (or at the very least making out), and throwing in tons ...

I prefer the dubbed versions. A typical GitS plot is always heavy on dialogue, visual details, and a lot of techno chit-chat on the side. It's too much of a hassle to keep up with everything if you're even slightly distracted. Hell, even in the English versions, I sometimes have to repeat some parts...

It's difficult, but it's not like Ghost in the Shell is impossible to transfer to the big screen. I mean the story itself isn't TOO unique to recreate. As long as they incorporate some stunning visuals (which is definitely a staple for Ghost in the Shell), remain faithful to the franchise, and at le...

I'd love for there to be more activity, but then again, maybe I'm just an enthusiastic noob. Compared to myself, there probably isn't as much for you people to talk about anymore. I still think you guys have a great forum going though, and certainly a lot of good posters to boot. I just hope things ...

I tend to think that the third season and the movie are completely unrelated. I doubt production IG is waiting to see the numbers to start working on the new season. from what i've heard and read about it, the people involved so far are simply busy with other projects and none of the existing mater...

Just out of curiousity and just a bit off topic. How much effort would be put into making a cyber-body respond to sexual simulation anyway. They talk in several places about how good the major is at using her body compared to most others. But would they really put that much effort into creating rea...

Sorry to bump this back up, but I really like the discussion. Her portrayal as an almost invincible combatant and as a practically flawless investigator is indeed a clear contrast to her fragile inner self. Marto's right about that. However, I still can't help but agree with Hopping Fox on some poin...
