Hey guys. I know it's been a while. In fact, its been nearly three years since last I posted. What's new with me? Umm...I got a haircut. What else? I got a job writing professionally. That's kinda cool. I wrote this RPG called Amethyst which is now being published through Goodman Games and my own pr...

Here is an odd one. If I was casting a GITS movie or TV show.... Aramaki. I would go for Kitano. Good actor, good age, and Aramaki should stay Asian Togusa: I think Nathan Fillion would be perfect for it. You guys remember Fillion (Firefly). Batou: If one were to look past color, I think Michael Cla...

It wasn't scripted. It depends on what you call scripted. I had a premise that I give my players who play the characters...like Aramaki giving Mototko an assignment at the beginning of an episode. Where they go and what they do is laregly improvised. I give my guys a lot of freedom, able to adapt de...

So...some thoughts. After the game finally ended, my players said "bravo". I think the BAAL story arc was weak, having been taken from a previous game I ran years ago. They did enjoy the Legion story and were happy the game had a well conceived, although somewhat downbeat, ending. There ar...

Episode 24: To the end of the Earth / Adagio (Last Episode)

EPISODE 24 <No intro music> …Kobotai salutes and steps back as the two tilt rotors fire up. The group looks back and salute. The two tilt rotors lift into the sky and move away from Section 10, never to return… TO THE END OF THE EARTH / ADAGIO Doing a pass is not wise so the tilt rotors land off isl...

Ever heard the movie Raising Cain? It dealt with that very subject. The teacher that graded my friend's paper aced him and then asked him to never share it. :)

Ahhh...I think I should reprint a section of this doctorate essay.... "Everybody has the ability to dissociate. For a normal person, this occurs primarily during mundane activities. The most common examples of normal dissociation are zoning out while driving down a long straight stretch of high...

Well, you see, I have a close friend who has a PHD is psychology and he specialized in dissociative disorders. I wrote paper for his Doctorate that postulated this very idea...sans the cyberbrains of course. I would reprint it all here but I think no one would read it. When I pitched him the idea, h...

Episode 23: For the Turtles / Con Dau (two episodes remain)

EPISODE 23 It finally becomes clear…Legion…”Call us Legion, for we are many.” Manji is part of a fragmented personality. Takumi Taigo has multiple personalities. Each one can accomplish different tasks while one operates the physical. That explains the constant use of Decots. One cyberbrains could c...

Yeah, my players were impressed. I had a friend with a PHD in Pyschology who wrote a paper on how those with multiple personalities could be more productive to society than those without the condition. He actually didn't give me an idea, he just added credibility to it.

Am I the only one petrified about this movie? First of all, it is made by the lord of hackmasters, Michael Bay, responsible for the collosal gobstopper crapfests known as Peral Harbor and The Island. He has no talent for pacing or belivable characters. You couple that with the fact that he is a corp...

So to the 18 or so of you actually reading these episodes, this is the big reveal. I had been planning on this one since episode one. It really hit the group hard. Tthey really enjoyd the twist as it made sense and they never saw it coming. Including this episode, there are three left to the conclus...

Episode 22: Out of Oz / Session (Three episodes remain)

EPISODE 22 Inside of BAAL, there is an encryption command key. No idea whose. But tracking shows it from a Corporation…Hanimed. Shoun is the mole. It also shows the command override was requested from the Sasabi base. Shoun probably doesn’t even know it. Pushing into Shouns Cyberbrain is risky but G...

Episode 21: In the Belly of the Beast / Must Scream

EPISODE 21 Section 10’s Tilt Rotor lands at HQ. They are battered and bruised. They lead Elina out. She is still not sure what is going to happen to her. The landing engineers inform the group to go to Kobotai’s office immediately. There just doesn’t seem to ever been a break. They enter the lift. T...
