Re: Now I'm a twit, too

Sort of? I don't generally post from that Twitter/X address, but it's weird it's disappeared. I have trouble posting from more than one social media address, TBH. And I haven't created an AI to do it for me lol. My most-used social media addresses are @PenumbricMag or some close variant of that (all...

Just started watching this! So far I'm actually finding the story around Togusa the most interesting (through three eps).

Re: Now I'm a twit, too

Yeah, my update is I quit Facebook a few years ago because of all its data mining, and also the "you must use your own name" and "you can't have a business name; it has to be your personal account." I have to have some social media presence as a business, though, so I'm still on ...

Re: The Ghost in the Machine

That image programme seems so ahead of its time! And also demonstrates issues we still have today. That's interesting about the 'click', where we suddenly can move something from, in effect, training mode into 'learned it' mode. I guess we sort of manually create that 'click' in algorithms when we s...

OMG! It looks like anime wandering around a real cafe!

I love the interface used to control/program it!

Too bad it's no longer available :(

Re: The Ghost in the Machine

That's an amazing article! I've also thought machine learning has some particular ... dead ends? blind spots? issues with categorisation? and wished I could create a better way to mimic the modelling this article talks about. I tried a sort of categorising algorithm in my RealMemory system, which is...

Good to know!

I've also just put an SSL certificate on this site. Everything seems to be working fine for me; hopefully it doesn't mess anything up for anyone else (and perhaps as a bonus gets rid of those goofy security warnings).

Re: Happy New Year 2021 edition!

Maybe that means this year is the respite from 2020! But 2020 too sounds absolutely frightening. (Maybe it shouldn't be. In Star Wars the losers in the first film struck back in the second film. If 2020 won, maybe we get to win in 2020 II.) (Such tortured logic! )
