I'd say the closest I've seen to the manga-Motoko on TV would be in the old PlayStation game. (Maybe I'll try to add some video to the main site, if I can get the file size down.)

Very clean! And I like the greens. What do the "post" pages look like? Are there lines between posts? Would a REALLY light background image work with this (like, maybe 10% opacity)? Also, what about dividing the different groups on the index page (like AI had done in the first post in this...

I've also added a "GitS" theme option (a little lighter green, with black bars) that Saito created. We're still tweaking these, so any suggestions are welcome. (Please make such suggestions in the Ghost in the shell theme for phpBB thread.)

Cheers,
Jeff

I can send you the entire images folder (about 70KB). Should I email it?

Added subTeal and GitS color options

I've added subTeal (the old "green" these boards used to display) to the options and made it the default style. You can, of course, still choose to display the boards in subSilver; just go to "Profile" (in the menu at the top of the Board pages) and scroll down until you see the ...

The default theme is going to flip back and forth for a while because I'm trying to sort something out.

Just FYI :)

Still sorting it out ... something's wrong with part of the registration process.

I'll change the text whilst wandering around ... :)

OK, I've found the old "green" style tucked away in a folder on my hard drive--subTeal!

I'm even now modding it to stop spam, then I'll install it and see if it works. (It's very old, so I don't know if it will work with the installed version of phpBB.)

Cheers,
Jeff

I've been looking at one of the old theme's directories and think the three primary files to directly edit are:

[themeName].css
[themeName].cfg
theme_info.cfg

You've probably already looked at just these files, though.

I've just been poking around on phpBB's site and it's hard to find any of the themes--I wonder if, in their update to phpBB 3, they've made the site a bit too awkward to navigate. I remember (ages ago) looking for themes and seeing lovely little thumbnails and descriptions, but now I get broken link...

The green one was a variation of subSilver ... it may have even been subGreen or something like that.

I can go look for it if you like.

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a live chat channel on an IRC server. Obviously the ultimate decision lies with Jeff, but I'd be happy to setup, administrate and moderate it wherever possible. I'd consider it my duty. Sounds good to me, except part of my web hosting contract states...

According to what I've heard, the PS3 is region free for PS3 games (as long as the game company doesn't create some sort of lock in their own code). PS2 and PS games are still region-locked (I hope that's not true, but that's what I've read). The PS3 supports region encoding for Blu-ray discs, but I...
