Motoko: Tough to decide. Charlise Theron would be pretty good. But she aint exactly asian. Yumiku Shaku looks good too but also Carrie-Anne Moss Batou: Mickey Rourke or Dolf Lundgren would be good. Rourke looked awesome as Marv when wearing those facial prosthetics for Sin City. Gotta visualize the ...

Until I see more information about it I'm going to remain optimistic rather than speculate the magnitude of suck it COULD be. So until then I'm just going to keep my ears perked for the cast list or a teaser trailer. P.S. Lets hope Michael Bay doesn't hear about this project. The guy needs to learn ...

And it looks like Steven Spielberg will be tacked onto the project. No news on a production date though. http://entertainment.slashdot....

In this story, people of Willis' generation are often not directly linked with cyberbrains because they don't want their own brains fiddled with by cyberbrain doctors young enough to be their children. But since this also limits their dealings with the world, they try to bridge the gap through cybo...

Re: Restricted Ghosts and Recursive Aura

First off, recursive aura is my euphemism for 'self-awareness'. I love all these fancy euphemisms that at first make no sense. My euphimism for the "soul" is "polyphase intrinsic electric field". When engaging is theological discussions people will ask what that means. I explain...

Mind Body Dualism

I suppose it would depend upon what you mean by mind . Could you also customize your mind, i.e. the wiring or function of your brain? If so, I suspect that such alterations would suggest something different from the concept of "mind" found within Cartesian mind-body dualism. Or would you ...

I know it's off topic since this is mostly about body image. I just thought of something. Imagine the implications of being able to improve your capabilities with either data jacks (skill programs "jacked" right into a cyberbrain) or cybernetic bodies. You could just buy any talent that y...

Interconectivity and Nirvana

Nirvana may not be the correct word for the subject but I felt it was the most sufficient being that my definition of Nirvana would be "a state of being where the distinction of the self from others is blurred and all are one". That being said. Could it be that since "cyberspace"...
