Well, I'm back, at least to have a small look around. I'm no good at starting conversations, unfortunately, but I'm always glad to participate, when an interesting topic arises. If the spambots are indeed gone, I might become a regular, again. We'll see.

If you have any organic parts in your body, you need oxygen that needs to come from somewhere. And even an inorganic system may use oxygen for some functions, since it's so plentiful in this world.

It sounds very unlikely that this project'd get from the ground, as it is and even less likely that it could grasp the feeling of Ghost in the Shell. We might see this some time in the next decade, assuming that the live-action Evangelion actually comes out and becomes a success. But I doubt that th...

If mechanical bodies do become reality, would that be the mark of the beast ( 666=mechanical bodies ) I can see absolutely no connection with the two concepts, in themselves - incidentally, the Mark of the Beast and the Number of the Beast are two different matters. Lots of Evangelists and other fa...

Yeah, this is definately not your fault. I guess you've already notified Jeff but you might press the issue with him - unless he wants a deserted forum inhabited only by spambots, he should be doing something to change the software and soon.

I'm starting to feel that we should abandon this board and restart the whole thing. This amount of spam just can't be controlled efficently, any more. It's making this place seriously harder to deal with. I have never seen so many spambots in one board - either there is a Trojan somewhere or the sof...

Well, compared to some other forms of media, anime is relatively cheap. I mean, a new music CD can cost as much as five episodes of new anime, dammit! If that isn't mismatched pricing, I don't know what is. Yeah, it can be expensive, especially the boxed sets of new series, but compared to some othe...

You can't claim technology to do just one thing. It can be a threat, but it's much more an opportunity. Internet has not decreased, but increased social interaction exponentially. It makes community-forming more easier than it ever has been. And the Net and the so-called real life are becoming more ...

Did she return to section 9 or was she never really gone? To my limited ability with the language it seemed, that she returned, as the reason for her leaving was settled. Can't wait to see SSS with original dubs. The artwork and music are outstanding Ahem, the Japanese is the original dubs. You've ...

Never noticed he didn't hold the leash, but didn't his appartment hold some kind of indication that he had a dog? Food boxes or cans or something like that... None that I can remember. We only get a short flash of the place, not enough to see details like that, as far as I can tell. You might be as...

Actually he doesn't - there just happens to be one in his photograph. You see the dog's leash, but the garbage guy isn't holding it. But yeah, Oshii loves to put his dog everywhere he can.

Ah, there's a fine line for me. There is the kind of "weird and disturbing" that is just obnoxious to me- gross-out sorts of things, like storylines about demonic pregnancies, or all the projectile snot and vomit in The Exorcist; gross-out slathering, "butt-ugly" monsters wearin...

Silent Hill has always looked too gross for me. I don't like gross-out monsters or storylines, and it sounded a bit weird or offensive. Well, aren't those the signs of a good horror game? It's supposed to be wierd and disturbing, after all. I haven't played them, though. I don't own a single game c...

What happened to the Appleseed series and the second movie?

I remember that there were news about an Appleseed series coming out in Japan in late 2006, but I've heard nothing of the sort coming out. The same news also talked about a second Appleseed movie coming out in early 2007, but I've seen no trailer, nor even any relatively fresh news about it. Does an...
