wow , i that Aug29th date correct for Vol7?

i was expecting an end of Sept. (seems a 2 month lag between DVDs)..

that is great news..

although i was looking at the site for Vol6 Special edition

any know if those figures are correct? are they just giving out another blue Tach and the droid/maid again?

Ive seen on other sites that the release date for Volume 7 is September. Im wondering if the date on Right Stuf is just an estimate and will be changed once a final date is announced.

Animeondvd.com did an early review of Volume 6 SE and heres what they said is included:

"The toys for this volume are a lot of fun as it has a new Tachikoma, a Jamison and a maid figure."

I have also seen sites that say that volume 6 will come out with the maid and tachikoma figure, I doubt that they would purposely put the same figures in two of the volumes.

I am hoping that either volume 6 or 7 will come with the SAC 3rd soundtrack CD with the Christmas in the Silent Forest track.

well i emailed that rightstuff website, and he pointed out the variations in the figures between Vol3 / 4 and Vol 6..

eg..

the maid has no weapon coming out of her eye..

the droid has Jameson written on it..

i'm still hoping its wrong, but probably not

I have found news on a tin box set for the SAC 2nd Gig DVDs but it is only for region 2 (Great Britain).

The box set comes with the region 2 volume 7 DVD, a t-shirt with the Individual Eleven logo and a Tachikoma figure, you can see the image of the box set and its contents at http://www.dvdactive.com/news/releases/ ... g-tin.html, no news on whether or not region 1 will get a box set.

Great news about SAC 2nd Gig Volume 7, Bandai announced at ComicCon 2006 that

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig Volume 7 Limited Edition will have a box for the rest of the volumes and more figurines.

just picked up Vol6 tonight,

i still think Vol1 has the best cover art.. anyone know if that can be had in wallscroll form?

I will be picking up volume 6 as soon as I can; the extras that come on this DVD are interviews and an interview archive that shows footage from the past interviews that were cut from the other DVDs.

anyone know if more info has come out about bandai and the GITS - movies?

the LFM and Individual Eleven movies or even teh SSS?

From what I read, Bandai is releasing the SAC compilation movies sometime next year and Solid State Society DVD in Summer 2007.
