I'm pretty sure it was mentioned to be an OVA - that is, without a theatrical release. Also, if my memory serves me correctly, it will be shown on television in September, before the DVD release. As usual, I'll propably grab the fansubs and buy the offical release as soon as it comes out.

In Japan everything's expensive - especially music and DVDs. It'll get cheaper in the US.
