I dunno about that Bryce girl (what movie can I see some of her work in? Yeah, I know I could Google it, but I want one that has a GitS flavor and Google's not that bright yet.), but Perlman and Law would be good in those roles!
Mila did a character in Ultraviolet that was an enhanced character similar to Motoko (even her protectiveness of of the kid at the end matches Motoko a little) I guess she'd be OK

Or how about Asian people for Saito, Aramaki, Togusa, Motoko, Ichikawa, and whoever else is actually Japanese?
Batou I always imagined to be a frenchie for some reason, and Saito possibly Chinese, but otherwise, Japanese people.

anybody ever see Doomsday, starring Rhona Mitra? (she also starred in Underworld: Rise of the Lycans.) She reminded me so much of Motoko's character...hair (to the T!), attitude, and they even referred to her as Major! Great movie.... not sure if she would be the best Major Kusanagi, but still a great cheers!

I always found Mitra to be an exceptional actress.
Aside from how extremely dominant and border-line frighteningly leaderish they make her in movies, in real life she's absolutely stunning and looks like a cover model!
Had the pleasure of seeing her in Chicago.

Film looks like fun, but no, I couldn't see her as Motoko.
A good motoko in my opinion.
Masami Nagasawa I think would make a great Motoko.
