Say anything
Ok this is your chance to be as off topic and as silly as you want to be. Or whatever. Say whatever you want but keep it clean. This way we can try to keep the other topics as on topic as possible while still having fun.
I saw this at another forum so I thought I'd give it a try...
Ok guys let's turn it loose.

we were actually discussing this in my Japanese class today.simon's ghost wrote:"Yo" is good. I like "Yo". In fact I say it all the time, especially when it's uncalled for. "Hey" also works for me on more formal occasions.
My teacher (In Japanese): What do you say to friends when you meet them for the first time of the day?
Me: Yo
My teacher: that works. ^_^

I love taking Japanese. Right now I'm translating a Haruki Murakami short story. It's great because I feel like now I can actually read literature in Japanese and make some sense out of it, I feel like I'm finally vindicated in my learning of the language if that makes any sense.
Anyhow now I have to go to the gym and lift weights. That's cause I'm a GIRRRRRRRRRL. ^_^

OOOHHHH LALA.
Oh and for all of those who want to give themselves a headache I would recommend the Utena anime.

Kanji is not jibberish! HAH
I can read about 500-700 kanji from memory. (yeah that's a big gap, but there are a lot of kanji I know from song lyrics that I've never formally learned)writing is a different story. I've studied in school for 5 years but also have done 2 years of self-study and a 5 week stay in Japan which really helped...
kanji is actually something I love... not really sure why. I started studying from a really great book, so I guess maybe that's why. Or maybe I"m crazy.
Anyhow let's see... for more randomness
do you think that King Kong could beat Godzilla in a cage match? List your reasons why. GO! :-p
