Nausicaa of the Valley of the Winds and Castle in the Sky are excellent movies, once you watched one of Hayao Miyazaki's films, you want to watch them all.

I didn't realize how many American films have been influenced by Hayao Miyazaki's films, American films like Rescuers Down Under and A Bugs Life.

Was Nausicaa of the Valley of the Winds the one with the Ohms, the giant bug/slug like creatures? I caught the very ending of that and changed it as to not ruin the ending, but I only caught like, the first hour and a half of Castle in the Sky before I had to sleep for class this morning. Could anyone direct me to a place I could buy (english dubbed preffered) these movies on DVD?

Also, wasn't he the same person that made Princess Mononoke? The animation and theme about nature seem very similar.

Amazon.com or ebay.com are excellent online places to buy English dubbed Anime movies. If you are looking for a brick and mortar store then Best Buy is a good place to buy English dubbed Anime movies.

Yes, Hayao Miyazaki also did Princess Mononoke.

Best Buy is only good if you are looking for fairly common fair, otherwise I would suggest Suncoast. But, since most of Miyazaki's movies are fairly well know, you should probably be able to find them at Best Buy.

I have also seen copies of Miyazaki's movies on sale at FYE.

The Suncoast at the mall nearest to me went out of business, I'm so distraught.

However, getting back on topic, I'll be watching Nausica with my University's anime club this evening.

Cartoon Network is going to air Spirited Away.

Princess Mononoke airs on the YTV channel on Saturday at 9pm.

TCM will also be reairing Spirited Away on March 25 at 2PM (I'm guessing commercial free).

As for Princess Mononoke, there is no plan to reair it.

But you can always request it for me!

Really? The ad I saw on Cartoon Network was for the TCM showing.

This is pretty kool. Is it going to be in widescreen and commercial free like on TCM?

It sounds like their showing all the movie's TCM showed, so I guess that means Princess Mononoke may be showing the next friday. It would be excelent if it where broadcast exactly like it was on TCM.

I believe that Miyazaki's films on the Cartoon Network channel will have commercials, I have never seen a film on the Cartoon Network channel that never had commercials.

The Spirited Away that airs Friday night on CN will be three hours long. So its likely there will be commercials, but nothing will be cut out.
