OK, I've seen it now. A whole new narrative.
So what to talk about?
The Easter Eggs for the fans (or simply wide brush images lifted form the previous versions)?
In no particular order
Cherry Blossom watching at the end of the movie while waiting for an assignment.
The orphanage of weird kids
Forced transfers
Motoko shooting a big gun.
Reusing 501
Reusing 2501 (the model # of the new thermoptic camouflage)
The four (that I have counted so far) plots in there?
The orphanage. As memory and as source of conflict.
Her back story with ?military unit? 501 (and somehow also tied in to the orphanage)
The government/corporate intrigue
The origin of a recognizable version of Section 9.
I've not followed the new series. Is the movie in that vein? Is it just a compilation of the series?
