At least most European players do. If the player is region free, it should be able to do it without trouble.

In Britain at least, region free dvd players are v. cheap.

Makes you wonder why they even bother with the regions, any more. And Blue Ray is still going to have region codes, although only three. Lets just hope that they won't get any stronger enforcement than the DVD codes...
