I posted that on the 5 January and checked again almost 3 weeks later, to see it it was slipping away into the back pages if the forum. So I bumped it as it was something that I wondered about when I watched the series.
As for you Jeni, trust me dear, it is the season. It's proven that during winter anxiety has a higher likelyness of enducing upon people, due to the deprevation of sunlight, and the dead feel of it.
