I was re watching ¥€$ and at the very end you see Togusa at home - his wife explains she made ¥100,000 while day trading and turns off the computer. A moment later it turns itself back on and the trading program reactivates and a trade is entered. I can't read the text, but it looks like a trade of ¥80,000 is made.
Obviously their home computer has been hacked. But did someone steal from them or did someone give them an extra ¥80,000?

Togusa had given a coin earlier so the old man could pay they ferryman and I know a lot of anime has characters rewarded supernaturally for selfless acts - is this how that looks in GitS?

What I remember from my subtitled version is that it was buying 80000 of Serano's shares.

I can't remember this having any impact on a later part of the story though.
