A third Oshii movie would totally rock my world, but I'd be more than happy with a 3rd Gig!

Oshii is not up to a third movie, but I'm sure Kamayama's up to a 3rg gig! It's up to IG though.

Oshii gave us two good films and helped with 2nd Gig. I, for one, would like to see him pursue more original work, or even a return to live action.

Well, can anyone tell me if he has done anything in live action except Avalon? Cause I saw that one and wasn't very convinced.

The Red Spectacles , Stray Dogs and Talking Head was his first three live action films.

I definitely like the animation style and the story behind the SAC GIGs more than anything else. The Puppet Master to me just isn't as interesting as the Laughing Man.

But a Manga or a Novel would be cool.

I had no idea Oshii did live action stuff..... Any good? This greatly interests me.

I have only seen Avalon and I really enjoyed it. It shows a technical wizardry often not seen in American movies. Kenji Kawai knocks it out of the park with one of his best scores. The effects are great. Its kind of an artsy fartsy Matrix... :)

He also did the Wolf Brigade movies (I think that's what they're called). Think Jin-Roh, but live action.

I greatly admire the amount of art and detail they put the the GiTS movie and GiTS2 Innocence, and wouldn't mind seeing more of that good artwork in the form of another movie. While I have yet to see 2ndGiG I would hope the series to continue, but that all comes down to how well the series does. Manga is nice too, as I have the GiTS1 and 2 of that it's nice how they are filled with more than than an individual movie or series of episode, and the more in depth explanations and sidenotes are intresting as well. I gues to sum it up a simutaneous movie and manga release and the sucess of the TV series to continue.
