I definitely like the animation style and the story behind the SAC GIGs more than anything else. The Puppet Master to me just isn't as interesting as the Laughing Man.
I have only seen Avalon and I really enjoyed it. It shows a technical wizardry often not seen in American movies. Kenji Kawai knocks it out of the park with one of his best scores. The effects are great. Its kind of an artsy fartsy Matrix...
I greatly admire the amount of art and detail they put the the GiTS movie and GiTS2 Innocence, and wouldn't mind seeing more of that good artwork in the form of another movie. While I have yet to see 2ndGiG I would hope the series to continue, but that all comes down to how well the series does. Manga is nice too, as I have the GiTS1 and 2 of that it's nice how they are filled with more than than an individual movie or series of episode, and the more in depth explanations and sidenotes are intresting as well. I gues to sum it up a simutaneous movie and manga release and the sucess of the TV series to continue.
