Yes, I did read 1984 and loved it. I believe he was closer to our reality in terms of the structure of control being more ideological and held together by fear and ignorance. As for the values and the social conditionning, Huxley foresaw how proper conditionning to position oneself precisely in the ...

Absolutely loved Brave New World and the way Huxley deconstructed every element needed for a utopian world to maintain its balance. I just finished reading Leo Tolstoï's "The Death of Ivan Ilitch" coupled with "Master and Servant". Currently going through Nicolaï Gogol's "le...

I see what you mean Saito. I don't think this is about morals and the fact that I think it shouldn't be accepted has nothing to do with discrimination towards athletes or people with a handicap. There are strict regulations on the gear runners are allowed to put on. There are also strict regulations...

Ideally, we should all simply try to understand what the author meant as the author is heavily intent on portraying something specific more often than not. Or else the author is simply trying to raise questions, in which case there is no meaning to be found other than the questioning itself. In real...

A whole lot of Killah Priest lately. Taking part in heated debates on that forum!

Saito: Portishead's Machine Gun killed me! Love that track.

The debate is interesting enough. Do you think sticking with or changing the thick of the subject matter would attract the same audiences? I think disappointment is hardly avoidable. Remember: marketing & target audiences.

I do recommend Wall-E. You'll be surprised to see how much is told in that story without using any dialog.

It is silent. But everytime I come and check up on the board, someone else is also there. Personally, I'm just not really excited about anything so I haven't got much to say. Besides, I have no life from August to November. Football eats up all my evenings and weekends. Gotta eat, naw mean? And I'm ...

I was going to buy Mass Effect with trade-ins, but my roommate wanted Assassin's Creed. At that time, it had just come out and enjoyed a lot of hype. It's hadn't fallen to the test of time yet. I shouldn't have yielded... It's been a long time now and I still haven't really played AC yet, nor will I...

I know this is going to sound funny, but I recently made the mistake of watching the latest Indiana Jones movie and I must say Cate Blanchet drew a smile from me when she appeared on screen the first time with Motoko's haircut. Then I kept thinking about it and thought: "With that haircut, her ...

I really feel you are completely off. Wether it does give him an advantage or not is not the point. He simply is not competing on an equal basis with the others. He is not practicing the same movement or developing the same muscles as other sprinters. He is not submitted to the same laws of biomecha...
