I joined recently too. A lot of people don't realize how much effort is put into the series. S.A.C. literally has about the highest special effects budget ever used in an anime, ever. And you can really see that, or the gun details that only people like I notice (proper use of Stingers?) Spiritually...

It's pretty different from a typical wheelgun. I'd imagine it'd be a bit jarring for a seasoned revolver shooter but it could also make it easier to load. You're talking about a speedloader. It's a plastic drum that holds the rounds until you release them into the cylinder. Pretty universal as far a...

Basically. The important thing to keep in mind about military hardware is K.I.S.S. Much less to go wrong, and easier to fix.

As for reduced speed, I'd imagine they'd want that too, but they'd probably want to keep it flying too, to prevent it from randomly landing and being captured.

I couldn't resist the massive necropost; guns are my forte. At any rate, OP should read the notes of the GitS manga. The Darkhorse Comics one, at least has extensive English notes at the end of the manga. Most of his weapons have some kind of FN inspiration. He even has a color picture of Motoko han...

This site is first on the google search if you type "Ghost in the Shell forum." But because of the general slow pace of releases and lack of mainstream advertising and the like, GitS seems something seasonally popular. Of course, you guys *could* try making a GitS universe RP story offshoo...

I find the anime form of Kusanagi a lot truer to the original concept. In the manga she's slapstick vicious at times and very, very expressive when not quietly philosophical. And she gets really pissed. Really, really pissed. That's just part of Motoko's character across her various iterations. With...

Well, considering he even stated it's basically the equivalent of Naruto filler episodes, hence it's later release, I wasn't too surprised. Though it was nice to see some of the other Section 9 plunkies get fleshed out. And it was basically the basis for SSS, right?

Living Inside the Shell What an amazingly tranquil piece. It's the best ending theme, ever. And it just ties up SAC in a way that's so different from the downcast, grim mood, but quietly depressing in it's beauty. I'm probably not the only one that felt mildly depressed when the song started to grow...

I think the situation is a bit misunderstood. Let's put it this way. Your car still rolls when you have the gear set to drive but the pedal not depressed. It will roll when you're not in it as long as the engine is on. This drone didn't break free cognitively or otherwise commit a decision. It's ret...

There is an episode in 1st GiG where Aramaki goes AWOL looking for his brother, IIRC. Might be earlier in 2nd GiG, but it's definitely there. It's basically a brick joke, and a useful way to have Kuze discuss his ideology with a character that the viewer feels they are somewhat familiar with.

He doesn't actually use the Unica six, but a fictional variant. I think the M2006 in the Manga, M2007 in the movies and SAC. He also uses the M2006 in SSS. The difference is slight appearance changes, but also that the cylinder flips to the top in GitS, where the real one still flips to the side lik...
