Re: Frightening real life stand alone complex?

I found this article pretty interesting. I find it amazing how information and experience can be transmited and mutated so quickly, and in such a decidedly dangerous fashion. Like Al Qaeda or Kuze's refugees, could these kids be considered stand alones? http://enews.earthlink.net/article/int?guid=2...

One of the best, though darkest simulated worlds is the one in "Bladerunner". The darkness of it seems to show a real dismal view of the future. Strangely enough it also deals with the cybrog topic. Probably in a more realistic way than GITS does. The strangest I've seen is the way they s...

You'll have to pay big bucks for the latest upgrades and enhancements. So in a way, unless there were some so...

In the third one, are these the girls who did the original Tachikoma voices???
That'd be cool, but as far as I know there's only one voice actress for all the tachikomas.

Oh no. they converted his office into the school coffee house :) They did what?? Well, I hope they did a tasteful job. You should see the Free Speech Cafe here in Berkeley. :| He used to teach at the school I went to (yes I'm being vague) , but he was long gone by the time I got there. :) H...

Anyway, that's my deal. I hope to learn more about Baudrillard and all those fancy names that Motoko and Laughing Man were tossing around and have interesting discussions with you all. By the way is Joeseph Campbell and his ideas a popular topic around here or is Neomyth a seperate thing? Anything ...

One of the most appealing bits of the game is the music. For those of you who are buffs of the Final fantasy Series, you'll know that FFXII is set in the same world as FF Tactics; The world of Ivalice. Similarly the music in FF12 is remniscent of the style of music in FFT. I haven't beat the game y...

I laughed at the second one. It's funny seeing Japanese schoolgirls talking about who they like the best out of section 9. :)

Oh and Marto I edited your topic so that people will come join in the conversation. I hope that's ok. :)
