It looks great, sounds great too, a little bit light on storyline and character development (prehaps because they were trying to make a US friendly film?).

Greyfriars Bobby is a famous little Skye Terrier dog from Edinburgh, he was a watchmans dog but when his owner died he sat at his graveside for 14 years, only leaving at one o' clock each day to go get food. I always visit his little statue for luck when I'm in Edinburgh. :) or do you mean the song?...

The song they use for the end of that futurama episode is just perfect, really pulls at the heartstrings. The whole episode reminded me of Greyfriars Bobby, even the dog looks like him.

People often like to see a bit of themselves in leading characters, If your main audience is going to be Japanese then it makes sense for your main characters to at least look Japanese-ish.
