Cyberdyne has been doing this for a while now. I applied for a job there, but sadly I wasn't considered, as you must be both in Japan, and speak fluent Japanese. Either way, we have a Cyberdyne company building robots, and a "missile defense" system named SkyNet in the UK. Oh lordy. :D
