Read Solaris by Stanislaw Lem. And the movies by the same name are not bad either, though the Russian version is a lot, and I mean a LOT, better.

But, just to warn you, the movie is 3 hours long, but well worth it IMO.

Hmm. So does this mean that Motoko Aramaki and Kusanagi are different people? I thought they were the same, at least to a point. Could someone clear this up for me? I feel stupid for not understanding. Also, what did Tamai mean when she was talked about Motoko 'choosing death'?
